Charles Sturt University's history dates back to 1895, with the establishment of the Bathurst Experiment Farm and the merge of regional institutions in 1989. The School of Dentistry and Health Sciences was established in 2008. As one of Australia's newer schools, the dental science course is accredited by the Australian Dental Council and ratified by the Dental Board of Australia.
